We are always looking to fund raise and raise money, not just for our scouts but also for our community. 

We relay on donations and fundraising to help run, re-build our headquarter and to buy new equipment for the Scouts.

Our Goals at 1st Porthmadog Scouts is to help young people, to gain skills, knowledge and experiences for their future.

In 2014, we were hit by a big storm, which flooded our building and ripped the roof off, with the money from the insurance and local donations we repaired the roof and updated the downstairs area to allow us to raise more money to complete upstairs.

Unfortunately, in February 2020 we were hit with another storm which again flooded our HQ, which caused more damaged. On closer inspection the builder which did the work after the first floor, had not done the wok to the correct standard. After a few weeks of drying out the building we were allow to reopen, but within a day we had to close due to the Covid-19.

We rent the building out to local communities like the AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), local bands and small birthday parties.

At 1st Porthmadog we would like to bring our headquarters up-to-date with modern technology, equipment and disability facilities.

To gain this achievement we need reach the following targets: 

Headquarters: £70,000 - £100,000

Groundwork's: £20,000

Total: £90,000 - £120,000
